Gift #1: Your Intuition + Intuitive Decision Making
—
I saw the two little prowlers on their leashes coming towards me. They stopped in the bushes as dogs do. Their handler was oblivious, seemingly not too concerned when the growls escaped their mouths. Thankfully, they were on short leashes (and they didn’t extend). But the best part? I already knew. I knew before and as I approached them.
How? My intuition and my guides already whispered to me to stay on the other side from them and that they were likely not to be trusted.
This is the greatest gift that has changed my life in the last 9ish years since I’ve stepped onto the path of direct mystical experience and journey toward my spiritual practice and path.
It is the singular gift that I think can change this world.
What is this? The power of your intuition.

We are living in what my guides and I call the tectonic times. Where the very plates of reality are continuously shifting underneath your very feet — and they don’t stop.
How can you be oriented in a world that is constantly changing?
Only within.
I believe and have seen that we are each intuitively gifted in our own unique ways. That some of us hear things, some of us see things, some of us sense or feel things.
These senses may have always been there or may have just been quieted down since you were younger. Sometimes they emerge after an adventure or focused development. Either way — we all have them.
Intuition is far vaster than what we may have been taught or first think of when we think about “intuitives,” “psychics,” or a “sixth sense.” As someone who identifies as all of the above now — and more — intuition is far more diverse, developed, expansive, magical, trustworthy, and unique than what one might think before we encounter or consciously allow or listen for it.

Was my intuition always there when I was younger? Yes. But I wouldn’t have called it that. I would’ve said it was this sense or this feeling. Especially about knowing things about other people. Or walking into rooms or having a sense of a vibe of a place. To me this was more empathic if I would’ve called it that. I had the slight awareness something was there but I only recognized later what this really was.
Consciously accessing my intuition in my own path, began with both imagination and subconscious work with my parts, what some may call ‘parts work’, and then it flowered from there through actual spiritual processes, practices, and training. (The intuitive path can first flourish through your imagination — a key step in the journey, before it becomes conscious awareness of your intuition.)
But by trusting yourself, and leaning into your curiosity or what calls to you, you can often begin to trust it without knowing much else.
My curiosity has always been an essential key to my path.
There are so many simple tools to be able to just test your own resonance with potential intuitive decision making options.
You can do a simple finger pull, you can see how your body responds to yes or no questions (do you lean forward or backward or side to side, do you feel light or heavy?, etc), you can “try things on” to see how they feel and see what feels best. There are lots of ways in, but I want to name there is always a way to begin. (If you want to know more about these tools, let me know and I can record a series—but there is a suggested starting practice at the end.)
Intuition is like muscle development.
The more you use it, the more it can show up. The more reliable it is. The easier to hear.
You may have one sense that is loudest or easiest first (maybe you get ideas or images of things in your mind’s eye, or you feel a certain way when things feel right or off). And after you use it, it typically opens the path to many others and more.
My intuition, and my ability to talk to and hear / see my guides talk back (sometimes through signs), gives me the ability to make big decisions and take big chances on things that are significant changes in my life.
Why I left my dream home behind
I first fell in love with Sedona on a trip where I was going to a workshop. I actually heard to go in a dream — something that rarely if ever happens to me — but the message was loud and clear and so I booked my travel the next day.
When I encountered Sedona, I fell in love with the land. It felt like home. It was beautiful, magical, majestic. It spoke to and inspired me. And so I asked the land, knowing I was already called to move, if it was for me to move there from Colorado, and the land said yes.
That was February 2020. I had planned to return to Sedona in March, and literally the week I was meant to fly, the covid warnings had started. The trip was canceled and postponed.
Thankfully, by some luck a couple months before, I had already extended my lease for another 4 months, so I had time and a place I could be while things started to shake out.
Needless to say, I still moved in the middle of covid, finally landing in Sedona and my new home in September.
But it was not to last.
Fast forward, my landlords decided to sell the home I was renting, like 4 months after I had moved in. Hello, shock to the nervous system. I asked the home (literally) if I should stay, and the guidance it gave me was it was not aligned at the time.
So, I searched for another home, and thought I found “it.”
It was an arduous process, and there was lots of compromise (a word that I do not like or always agree with), which held warning signs for down the road.
By the time I was meant to move into this new home, things were off.
Again, not getting into details, but when we went to tour it, it wasn’t done. And not only was it not done, it no longer felt right. The home didn’t feel right. The land didn’t feel right. Where things felt expanded before, they felt heavy and constricted. The finished ceilings, in a tall house, felt low. Everything was off.
So after I threw a tantrum and had a bit of a freakout, I went to my favorite outlook, and sat and talked to my guides and the land. And we set an agreement.
I asked for three separate signs by a certain date, I believe it was Friday and I asked for the signs by Monday, each unique and specific in their ways. One for if I was meant to stay but find a different house. One for if I was meant to stay in that house. One for if I was to leave the home and the land all behind.
Sunday afternoon, after days of waiting, I saw the sign. I asked to see a live snake. My guides confirmed it could be digital not just physical, and I said ok as part of our agreement earlier. Popping up in my Instagram feed, I saw a video of a sea snake. (WTH there are snakes in the f* sea??! That was new to me!) It was swimming up to a surf board and a human, and they had to shoo it away. Not just that, but as I scrolled a little further, the next two posts after it were graphics of snakes. Three snakes in a row. Clear as a bell.
Now, do I know why exactly I had to leave it all? Or why it was no longer aligned? Not really. I have some awareness, but years later, I still don’t have the full story. I just knew it didn’t feel right, and I needed to go. (I’ve continued to get more context on this over time, but it’s still one of the hardest decisions I had to make — especially when I thought I had finally found a place I loved and could call “home.”)
Thankfully it worked out for all involved, but it was a wild decision to make. The place I loved the most, where I finally felt home, no longer did. And it flipped almost on the flip of a dime. I didn’t see it coming. But it did.

Decisions like this are not easy. We can not always see or know the full picture. We just know something is wrong and isn’t right.
I have many stories where my life has changed or been altered, where my friends have been saved, because they stopped to listen — and were able to hear.
This is the most essential skill we need now. You need to be able to hear your wisdom within. To trust yourself. To hear and recognize those voices and nudges and signs and signals meant only for you.
It could change or save your life.
So, I want to share a practice with you, as part of my own stepping into purpose party, to give you a gift to step into yours, too.
An intuitive practice you can try anywhere
Sit if you can or are able. It’s also ok if you’re standing, but it may be easier to pay attention sitting since you’re potentially more supported.
Close or lower your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Allow your awareness to turn inward. Breathe in a way deeply that is supportive or helpful for you. That could be in through your nose and out through your mouth. Or it can be just slowing down your breathing for 5 deeper breaths.
I invite you to experiment with saying yes or no to yourself. You can do this quietly and in your mind, or out loud. Just see what happens in your body as you say each word. Yes. Pause. Check in. Notice. No. Pause. Check in. Notice. Do you notice a difference? You can keep repeating this and see what happens when you try it again. You may want to take some notes for yourself and jot things down about what you notice.
Then try saying your name to yourself. Name. Check in. Then say a name that is not yours. Check in. What do you notice with those two? Take notes if that feels supportive.
Then you can play with saying these three contrasting phrases and see what you notice.
Centered. Not centered.
Aligned. Not aligned.
Resonant. Not resonant.
What do you notice there?
Do you notice any differences? Any similarities in these exercises?
These are very simple ways to just play with noticing what is for you and what is not. What is aligned, or resonant, and what is not. What speaks to you, or what doesn’t.
By being able to recognize these, you can start to notice when these similar feelings show up in the world. These are called markers.
Taking note of your own markers can help you to tune into what your internal wisdom is already trying to indicate to you.
Is it showing you to be hesitant about something because something doesn’t feel right? Is it showing you to be pulled or called toward something because it does?
You have to experiment with your intuition to be able to recognize and strengthen both your discernment, awareness, and speed with these cues (meaning how quickly you both notice, act, and respond). Also how “loud” or clear they appear or are to you.
To bring this exercise into real life, try this quick practice when you have to make a decision next. Maybe you’re deciding what to eat. Maybe you’re shopping for something. Whatever it is, you can use this in small or big moments to get context on what you need to know, and to begin to build that trust, strength, and inner muscle with yourself.
If you already use your intuition, this can be another great practice to have in your arsenal. Sometimes I use a couple tools at once to check in on something and then move forward, so I find it’s always helpful to have more rather than less.
Sharing the gifts that have opened my personal portal to purpose
Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing the tools that have changed my life, and are what I am now called to share with the world, because I know how powerful they are to change or illuminate yours.
I think these hold the keys to building the world we want to see, and to unlocking the true potential of our reality.
I would love if you joined me on this journey — there will be some surprises along the way.
We live in the most pivotal time in history over the last 5,000 years. That is not an exaggeration 🙂 I would love for you to be equipped and ready for what is to come, and more importantly, be clear on why you decided to be here now in the first place.
Want to join me? You can sign up to know when I share the next tool here.
Like I said, there will be some surprises as these new gifts debut in the world, and I’d be happy to share them with you. They are each truly life changing, and you never know what just one of these can spark for you.
XX in power,
Lea
PS. When have you made a decision that has changed your life? Share your wisdom in the comments below. Intuition doesn’t always make sense. It can be hard. But it can be life changing. Learning to trust it — and yourself — is key to your life, your joy, your purpose.
PS2. Depending on how hydrated, stressed, calm, activated, or grounded you are, your results can be affected. Part of your process can be to see the difference between the emotional or physical state you’re in when you do this and what you notice. You may want to start with being calm and grounded first before you compare to something else. So take the time you need to take to get chilled out the first time you try this.
